AARP and AARP Foundation (charitable arm of AARP) are seeking an experienced fundraising professional to support our Senior Director of Member Philanthropy. The position will be responsible for daily management and implementation of online fundraising strategies on behalf of AARP/AARP Foundation.
Responsibilities: *Coordinates direct response strategies for the charitable AARP Foundation and the AARP advocacy programs. Strategies to include donor cultivation, acquisition, lead generation for gift planning and integration with planned giving and major gift strategies within the Development group. *Implementation and day-to-day management of two major online programs – one in advocacy fundraising and the other in charitable fundraising. *Implementation of strategies for integration with direct mail markets. Also, implementation of strategies that provide integration across the Association with membership, publications, advocacy resources and other key member touch points.
Qualifications *BS/BA in a related field *5-7 years online experience *Proven track record in coordinating and managing national fundraising program with emphasis on online – donor and acquisition (both email address and donor acquisition) programs (both charitable and advocacy fundraising experience preferred) *Experience working in a large and complex environment and/or with multiple clients/programs preferred *Experience in management of data, strategic implementation, competitive web/online software, calendar and budget/cost management preferred. Excellent communication and negotiation skills *Some travel may be required
