The Case Foundation is launching a new online series next week called Gear Up for Giving: Social Media Tutorials for Nonprofits featuring some of the best nonprofit communications and social media gurus like blogger and social media trainer Beth Kanter, Katya Andersen of Network for Good, Geoff Livingston of CRT/tanaka, activist and author Allison Fine, Holly Ross of NTEN and more.
Every Tuesday, for the next month, the Case Foundation will offer online tools and live streamed seminars aimed at helping nonprofit staff understand how to best leverage social media to create awareness for causes, raise funds, and engage with new constituents. The tools and online seminars will focus on issues ranging from:
- how social media affects monitoring and control of your brand
- using social media for fundraising and friend-raising
- who within your organization should be responsible for social media
Aside from producing the month long series, the Case Foundation has compiled a comprehensive list of links to articles and presentations on all things social media such as:
- Social Media Strategy
- Effective Blogging
- Microblogging with Twitter
- Social Networking with Facebook
- Video Sharing with YouTube
