Clinton O'Brien, VP of Nonprofit Services
Clint joined Care2 in summer 2005 to start its DC office and build the team that today serves more than 450 leading nonprofits that use Care2 as a preferred source for promoting their causes, and recruiting new members and donors.
Previously, Clint spent seven years at nonprofit TV network PBS, where he led business development and forged alliances with AOL, NPR, Intel and other organizations. He also led the project to equip local PBS stations with tools for online fundraising, and for three years led the PBS Adult Learning Service, providing online and video courses to colleges nationwide. In a former life, Clint worked for seven years as a reporter for Newsweek, the Associated Press and other news organizations. From 1991 to 1993, he reported from Moscow during the Kremlin coup, the USSR collapse and Russia's transition to a market economy. He is the 1988 winner of the National Press Club Washington Correspondence Prize.
Clint founded and leads the monthly "Wharton Nonprofit Roundtable" which is composed of more than 120 Washington, DC-area alumni of the Wharton School of Business, all of whom work in the nonprofit sector.

Bob Sands, Senior Director of Nonprofit Services
Bob Sands joins Care2 after working in the Internet Solutions group at software-as-a-service provider Blackbaud, Inc., where he introduced nonprofits to online fundraising and development tools. Sands previously served as Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the Hyde School in Connecticut, where he led annual fund, capital and restricted campaigns, planned giving and alumni relations. He also worked for many years in the High Tech sector, including as an entrepreneur and investor who founded or led several successful Internet companies.
Sands worked for many years in the High Tech sector, first as Midwest sales director for Cisco Systems, where he managed a 100-person sales force and engineering team for enterprise clients. Bob next served as vice president of worldwide sales for sales force knowledge management company Participate Systems (now Outstart), and as regional sales manager for systems and security management software company NetIQ Corporation.
As an entrepreneur and investor, Bob founded and led Sandcastle Technologies, a Kansas City-based business incubator that helped startup businesses develop sales, marketing, IT and operations. He also served as CEO of Vicina.com, a provider of online services to neighborhood home associations, and operated a strategy and coaching firm for nonprofits, called Sandmark Associates. Eric Glader, Director of Nonprofit Services
Eric has been with Care2 since 2001 helping nonprofits with advocacy, fundraising and membership growth. Prior to joining Care2, he worked at an ePhilanthropy application service provider that enabled the collection of charitable donations online, with clients such as American Express, Cisco Systems, E*Trade, Applied Materials and NEC. He started off his philanthropy career at The Nature Conservancy.

Justin Perkins, Director of Nonprofit Services
Since 2006, Justin has worked with Care2 to help over 100 nonprofits across a wide variety of issues customize strategic campaigns to reach and recruit millions of supporters from Care2's 12 million members. He launched the nonprofit marketing blog, frogloop.com as a way for Care2 to share case studies and best practices for nonprofit online marketing, advocacy and fundraising, and he developed one of the first social network ROI calculators to help nonprofits plan and evaluate their social media efforts. He is passionate about helping nonprofits use a data-driven, efficient approach to online marketing.
Justin has an MBA from the University of Colorado and in addition to working a variety of jobs ranging from picking organic peas to writing a book on the use of networks at the National Defense University, Justin has a passion for international development and indigeneous rights through studies in Brazil and South Africa where he helped start a human rights nonprofit for Pygmies in Congo called Afrique Profonde. Justin volunteers on the Strategy Committee for the Boulder Farmers Market, served on the Board of Prevent Human Trafficking, and enjoys climbing peaks, trail running, skiing, and selling his original, flavored roasted nuts at the farmers markets on the weekends in Boulder, Colorado.

Eric Rardin, Director of Nonprofit Services
Prior to joining Care2 Eric designed and executed integrated advocacy campaigns for environmental nonprofits for more than seven years. Most recently, at the Marine Fish Conservation Network (MFCN), Eric helped lead a coalition of 190 organizations to successfully reauthorize the national law governing fishing in U.S. ocean waters.
At the National Environmental Trust (NET), Eric helped design and implement several campaigns including NET’s ‘Take a Pass on Chilean Sea Bass’ and Magnuson-Stevens Act reform campaigns. Eric also developed and led NET’s marine mammal project.
Eric has an MBA from the Carey School of Business at Johns Hopkins University, an MA in government and international studies from the University of South Carolina and a BS in political science from the University of Wyoming. In addition to his work in the environmental advocacy arena, Eric has extensive experience working on political and issue campaigns from Wyoming to South Africa. Eric was also a commercial fisherman for a brief period working the fishing vessel ‘Brown Sugar’ from Haines, Alaska.

Michelle Coyle, Director of Nonprofit Services
Before joining Care2 in 2009, Michelle was Business Development Manager at Trellon, where she managed community-building projects for nonprofits and cause-centered organizations while playing a key role in marketing and operations strategy.
Previously, Michelle co-founded the Julian Mulvey Group, where she produced TV, radio and online advertisements for campaigns and issue advocacy organizations including Media Matters for America, the Victory Fund, the Organic Consumers Association, the University of Texas, and the U.S. PIRGs. Michelle won her first Pollie Award from the American Association of Political Consultants in 2006 for "Sam's Journey", a flash animation she wrote and produced for NORML. In the same year, she was recipient of WeLEAD’s inaugural Political Ambition Award.
Michelle began her career as a political organizer, interning for HILLPAC before hitting the ground for Dick Gephardt and Blair Hull during the 2004 primary season. She has a BA from the University of Texas at Dallas and received her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2009.

Jocelyn Harmon, Director of Nonprofit Services
Jocelyn is passionate about helping charitable organizations and causes succeed online so that they can change the world. Prior to joining Care2, she was Director of Business Development for InfoGROUP Nonprofit where she was responsible for sales, marketing and new product development. Jocelyn has been a member of the capacity-building community for nonprofits since 2000. She started her career at the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and then led the Development and Communications activities for the National Council of Nonprofits, an association of 22,000 local charities. Jocelyn is also a recognized blogger and speaker on online marketing for social change. Her personal blog, Marketing for Nonprofits, is top-ranked on Alltop. She also writes a bi-monthly column for Fundraising Success magazine. Jocelyn has a Masters of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington.

Larissa Lawrence, Business Development Associate
Larissa joined Care2’s Business Development team in 2009. She comes to us with a diverse background that spans work for international development organizations; public relations for the American University in Cairo, Egypt; and an internship with former NY Senator Hillary Clinton. Before joining Care2, she authored a research paper on Middle East oil revenue investment for the International Center for Labor Solidarity.
Larissa is a graduate of Fordham University where she studied International Political Economy and Spanish. She’s spent time working and living abroad in the Middle East and Latin America.

Ned Baker, Business Development Associate
Ned Baker joins Care2 as a Business Development Associate following years of international exposure from living on three continents, studying around the globe, and traveling to more than 30 countries. Ned worked as an agriculture extension agent in northern Zambia through the U.S. Peace Corps, and gained a working knowledge of grassroots efforts aimed at improving livelihoods of the rural poor. His undergraduate background at the University of Pittsburgh includes training in rhetoric, economics, and foundations of law, while his academic and professional pursuits bring with him valuable experience in law, politics, sales, and international development. Community service has always been close to his heart: from volunteering in church, to neighborhood political canvassing, to presenting lectures on his travels, to planting trees along city streets, Ned continues to be an advocate of the locally-focused approach to development. Originally from western New York, he currently resides in Washington, D.C.

Joe Baker, VP of Causes and Advocacy
Joe Baker joined Care2.com as Director of Nonprofit Campaigns in August 2006. He know manages Care2's campaigning and also oversees Care2's Cause Channels. Previously, Joe was the Executive Director of N-TEN. Joe worked for Amnesty International for many years, as Director of Internet Communications, Grassroots Advocacy Director and Deputy Director, Western Region. In addition to his extensive nonprofit management experience, Joe spent seven years managing telecommunications and wireless systems research and has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Economics Systems Science from UCLA. Joe serves on the board of Death Penalty Focus, on the advisory board of GiveForward.org, and volunteers for the Sierra Club and Amnesty International. Contact Joe by email.
Robyn Erler, Senior Campaign Manager
Robyn educates Care2 members on how they can make a difference on a range of issues from carbon emissions at home to human rights violations abroad. Prior to Care2, she worked with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's library program, where she saw first-hand the tremendous positive impact business can have on the world. Natasha Nummedal, Senior Campaign Manager
Natasha joined Care2 in May 2007, with a background in field organizing and grassroots organization from 18 years of volunteer and work experience in the human rights movement. Prior to moving to California to join Care2's campaign team, she worked for Amnesty International USA's Urgent Action program and the YMCA of Boulder Valley. Natasha has a BS in Mathematics and Philosophy from LSU, and a MA in Philosophy from the University of Colorado-Boulder, where she focused her studies around feminist ethics and rights theory. Rebecca Young, Manager of Activism Marketing
Rebecca manages Care2's activism growth, including our presence on other social networks, online marketing, and contests.
Rebecca Young joined Care2 in 2003 as a Campaign Manager, and led the campaign team as Director from 2004 to 2006. Rebecca's focus is on meeting and exceeding client expectations and working to engage the Care2 membership in the advocacy causes of our nonprofit partners. Prior to joining Care2, Rebecca lived the life of a conservation geek at Stanford University's Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. Care2 allows her to indulge her love of data while actively working to make the world a better place every day. Her most recent large scale project was bringing two new progressive activists into the world - twins - that made their debut in August 2006.

Samer Rabadi, Senior Campaign Manager
Samer joined Care2 in early 2008 after having spent the previous decade working in human rights, education, and student activism. This previous work experience includes Amnesty International USA and the Oregon State Bar. He has a BA in English from UCLA and a MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. LiAnna Davis, Campaign Manager
LiAnna joined Care2 in May 2008 after working in the web communications field. Care2 allows her to blend her fascination with new media technologies and her drive to make a difference in the world. She also enjoys discussing politics, cheering on her favorite sports teams and spending time outdoors.
